Current Initiatives

What started as my mission to explain China has become our company’s purpose.

Helping the world understand China better, socially and culturally, was the mission I set for myself since arriving in the UK for university in 2010.

It was the time ensuing China’s entry into the WTO, and where its people felt connected and welcomed by the West after 2008 Beijing Olympics. Still, as I was learning about the notions of prejudice and stereotypes at university, I also faced with them in everyday life and in media.

Meanwhile, I used Sociological theories and used that to look at China and its people. That resulted in my graduate thesis: Chinese students’ reaction to multiculturalism in the UK.

Continuing to study and work in translation and journalism in the following decade in China and the U.S., I began to believe that I want to take it to my own hands to bridge the information and communication gaps.

The lifelong mission was conceived during my formative years, and I’m happy that you’re part of the journey.
